  3. What is an art and wine party?
There are many versions of this kind of art class here in Central Florida and around the USA. However, the class hosted by Hyder Gallery on International Drive in Orlando (Artegon Mall) is uniquely fun. Typical of these type of classes, are the canvas painting instruction combined with wine and horderves. What makes Hyder Gallery's "Art Class and a Wine Glass" better than the rest, is the fact that not only do we supply everything (all inclusive) but we do not make everyone paint on a large canvas. We combine a master instructor with the comfort and time to paint in a fun and relaxed environment.

  4. How do I get my art into galleries?
If every artist knew how to get their work into galleries, galleries would run out of space. Competition for gallery inclusion is fierce and only artists who know how a gallery operates and can make themselves an ideal artist for the gallery will be successful. The Hyder Gallery is at the forefront of Artist education on this most important topic. Artists who are in one or more fine art galleries earn 5X what all the other artists make (on average). Therefore, Hyder Gallery offers a 15-20 hour course called "How to become your own agent in Fine Art". Taught by master sculptor and fine art marketer Andrew Dean Hyder, the complete course is only $250 and is taught one-on-one with each artist. Having taught nearly 200 central florida artists, this class is a must have for any artist serious about turning their art into a large successful brand. For more information see: Hyder Gallery.

  5. I am an artist, do I need an art agent?
No. Getting your work into a fine art gallery is not very difficult if you know how the process works. Galleries are overwhelmed with artists approaching them. Being the one artist that a gallery wants to work with is not out of your reach. The course taught at the Hyder Gallery Center for Fine Art, will teach you how to be a an ideal artist for a gallery. We teach what to say, what not to say. We teach you what to bring with you and what not to bring with you. We teach you how to write the perfect biography for pitching a gallery on your brand. We teach an artist everything they need to know to become their own agent.

  6. Where should I study art?
This depends upon what you are trying to accomplish. Many artists are already accomplished artists and need to know how to market their work via fine art galleries. Some artists need to know specific techniques for specific goals. While the Hyder Gallery does not teach everything, we do specialize on many very specific instruction. We teach art marketing. We teach oil and acrylic painting, along with the fundamentals of drawing, perspective, shading, horizon and vanishing point. Whatever your artistic goals are the Hyder Gallery can advise you on the best approach to getting your skill and from whom.

  7. How is fine art priced?
Pricing fine art should never be done randomly. Pricing should be quantifiable and have a sound basis in time, materials and the scale of the secondary market that has emerged on the artist's work. Further, a profit margin should be built-in for Fine Art galleries into any price for fine art works. Pricing is done properly when a formula is strictly adhered to by the artist. Consistent pricing from gallery to gallery is a prerequisite for a professional Artist who is on top of his/her game.

  8. Do I need a formal art education to sell my art?
No. While education is very important, having a formal education in the arts is not a prerequisite for being successful as a fine art artist. The most important things an artist must have to be successful is 1) Raw Talent, 2) Motivation and 3) a unique voice. Everything else can be taught with instruction such as at the Hyder Gallery Center for Fine Art. See Menu of services.

  9. What kind of art sells?
Since all types of artwork will sell eventually, it is difficult to pinpoint exactly what kind of artwork will sell in advance. There are however some general guidelines that we advise artists to stay away from. First we recommend that you do not "chase" trends or try to create art based upon what is "hot". Having your own vision for your own unique brand should be one of your main goals as an artist. Art that typically does not sell well however, are religious, political, or explicit nude art.
